Founder Story
Born from duality, belonging, and the power of a neighborhood coffee shop.
As a first-generation American, our founder has always lived in the duality of identity — rooted in heritage, shaped by movement, and searching for spaces where every part of the self could belong.
While living in Brooklyn, her neighborhood coffee shop became more than a daily stop. It became a place of friendship, creativity, and reconnection. It introduced her to some of her closest friends, reawakened a suppressed creative identity, and revealed how one cup of coffee could become a vessel for storytelling, community, and legacy.
DIASPOURA was created to recreate that feeling for others.
